What is your favorite DU Nursing memory?

Getting coffee at the Union before taking Exit HESIs at Gumberg Library.

What was your favorite late-night study snack?

Coffee, all day, every day.

What are you going to miss?

The community of students this program created; even though we started out virtually, we took advantage of in-person opportunities and clinical groups, which quickly turned into friend groups.

What words of advice do you have for other students on how to make the most of the Duquesne Nursing experience?

This is the most challenging and most rewarding thing you will ever do, so put in the work.

What are your plans or goals for the future?

I recently accepted a position as a staff nurse at UPMC Magee Women’s Hospital on the Labor and Delivery unit, which I wouldn’t have achieved without encouragement from clinical instructors and peers. My passion is women’s health, and I hope to take this experience into higher education and eventually turn that into a community health practice that focuses on women’s health.
