What is your favorite DU Nursing memory?

On-campus residency my first year in grad school. It was so much fun meeting fellow students and my current and future professors. My on-campus experience allowed me to feel more connected to Duquesne University.

What was your favorite late-night study snack?

Peanut butter with bananas and dark chocolate.

What did you enjoy most about your time at Duquesne and/or as a Nursing student?

I liked the program, and the professors are great. I have also made some great friends.

What are you going to miss?

Engaging with other students with similar goals. People that are not in the program really do not understand how hard MSN FNP students work and what an accomplishment it is to complete the program and reach our goals.

What was your biggest achievement as a DU Nursing student?

Completing my program and feeling prepared to sit for my FNP board certification.

What words of advice do you have for other students on how to make the most of the Duquesne Nursing experience?

Work hard; don’t get behind on your deadlines.

What are your plans or goals for the future?

I want to work in primary care. My degree will allow me to sit for the certification exam for FNP. I feel that my program has prepared me to be a strong and competent FNP.

Is there anything else you’d like to share?

Congratulations to all the graduating students. I wish you the best in your next academic and professional careers.
