What is your favorite DU Nursing memory?

The cultural immersion experience in Rome, Italy for two weeks.

What did you enjoy most about your time at Duquesne as a nursing student?

The assistance from the faculty and staff. From the time I started the enrollment process, and throughout the two-year program, I have received tremendous and unwavering support.

What are you going to miss?

The students in my cohort. I have gained great friendships, and we plan to collaborate on projects and even travel together in the future.

What was your biggest achievement as a DU Nursing student?

Implementing a successful DNP project that I will present at conferences.

What words of advice do you have for other students on how to make the most of the Duquesne Nursing experience?

Get to know the people in your cohort. It’s easier to get through when sharing with people experiencing similar challenges and successes.

What are your plans or goals for the future?

I plan to continue teaching in higher education. I also plan to promote my DNP project at conferences and medical facilities. I’ve been asked to collaborate in research projects, and I’m looking forward to participating in them as well.

Is there anything else you’d like to share?

Completing my DNP at Duquesne University has been one of the highlights of my life. I am the first in my family to receive a doctoral degree, so it is a proud moment for me and my family. Thank you to everyone at Duquesne who have had any involvement in making this a reality for me.
