Dr. Inah Kim, assistant professor, has received a $10,000 Faculty Development Fund award. Funds will support the research project, “Polypharmacy and Sleep Disturbance in Older Adults.”
Faculty Development Fund awards are seed money, designed to help faculty begin their scholarly work or initiate work in a new direction.
Dr. Yvonne Weideman, clinical associate professor, and colleague Dr. David Kahler, an assistant professor in the Bayer School of Natural and Environmental Sciences Center for Environmental Research and Education, have received the Rev. Alphons Loogman, C.S.Sp., Faculty Research Grant in the amount of $4,500.
The Loogman Faculty Research Grant is a university-wide internal funding opportunity which is open to all disciplines and is intended to support scholarly research and creative endeavors that reflect Duquesne University’s strategic commitment to a closer relationship with the nations and peoples of Africa. Drs. Weideman and Kahler’s funds will support the project, “Water and Daily Life in Olkokola with Photovoice.”
An additional $2,000 will be awarded upon publication or evidence of acceptance of publication of the research.
